Depression: Mood, body, and thoughts are involved in depression disorder. Men and women both are affected by this disease equally. Children, adolescents, and young boys or girls are also affected by depression. Symptoms of depression can appear for days, weeks, months, or years.

  • Bipolar disorder

Dysthymia: 

Sometimes people who have dysthymia depression may feel major depressive episodes in life. This is a long-term disease. There is no symptoms present and sometimes the patient feels good.

Bipolar disorder: 

It is also known as manic-depressive disorder. It is caused by changes inability to work, person’s mood and energy. This is a serious problem for the brain. Symptoms of this disorder include patient has performed poor in job or school, damaged the relationships and try for suicide. People with this disorder can be treated.

Causes of depression:

Family history may be the cause of depression. Major depression can occur generation after generation. Depression develops by changes in brain function and structures of the brain. Physical changes in the body, health problems such as heart attack, hormonal problems, stroke, and cancer also develop depression. People who have low self-esteem also affected by depression. Sometimes certain medications such as infection of the virus may cause depression.

Symptoms of depression:

  • Changes in behaviors, energy, and mood

  • Poor judgments
  • Sad mood
  • Feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, guilt

Light therapy may be effective to treat any type of depression such as major depression. Sometimes artificial light is used to reduce depression.

Meditation: 

Meditation will be recommended by the doctor. It is a useful treatment to reduce depression. Some meditation centers available, patients can be joined these meditation centers.
